“All eyes on me” 24x36multimedia collage and acrylic on canvas. This is my first collage, and my first giant art piece.

This is highly sentimental, as it’s essentially a recap of my first year of being an artist. The struggles I’ve gone through in this year have been intense, for lack of better words. It’s also the first time I’ve felt like I am in the spotlight, and have some weird ‘brand identity crisis’ where I found myself attempting to act the way I thought I was supposed to in certain situations, instead of being myself. But then I would replay those scenarios in my head over and over, rolling my eyes at my own self for being a pushover. Heh, I’ll always be a work in progress.

Another cool little tidbit about this painting, is that I used Vantablack! It is the blackest pigment in the world, and absorbs so much light that it creates such a deep darkness with no reflection or shine at all. It’s pretty trippy to see in person ;)
